Nigel Harris
Nigel Harris is Director of the charity Designability, a multidisciplinary team of experts with a passion for creating life-changing enabling technologies, which meet the real needs for people with health problems and disabilities. Designability create great looking, easy-to-use designs by working directly with end-users, carers and health professionals to understand the needs, find solutions and test them in real life situations. Nigel, is an Honorary Professor at the University of Bath and has extensive experience of technology evaluation and knowledge transfer, and is passionate about the need to embed human centre design within R&D pathway.
He is also the lead for the Innovate UK funded, Long Term Care Revolution, CHIRON project. The mission of the project is to develop customisable modular robot systems that will be an enabler for new models of care and will extend our capacity for independent living.
