Horst Krämer

Horst Krämer is a Programme Officer at the European Commission's Directorate General for Communications Networks, Content and Technology (DG CONNECT). His portfolio includes the Silver Economy, Age-Friendly Smart Living Environments, eHealth and mHealth as well as research and innovation projects and topic coordination in the Horizon 2020 framework programme. In the context of Horizon 2020 he also acts as liaison for Social Sciences and Humanities and is a member of the "Innovation Radar" group. He is the Commission's correspondent for the Joint Programming Initiative "More Years, Better Lives", a collaboration network for the alignment of national research programmes on demographic change. In the European Innovation Partnership on Active and Healthy Ageing, he follows the Action Group on Age-friendly Buildings, Cities and Environments. Before joining the Commission, Mr Krämer worked as an editor, project manager and account manager in the field of public affairs, digital communication and e-Government. He holds Masters Degrees from the Universities of Bath (Contemporary European Studies) and the University of Frankfurt (Cultural Anthropology, Business and Linguistics).
